Yesterday I got a personal guided tour of AgileThought Inc., where my daughter works. Clearly, this was one of the most innovative corporate environments that I have ever seen — and I have seen aplenty. It is not a coincidence that they have been voted as one of the best companies to work in Tampa Bay for many years. I can see why.
A general aura of motivation and innovative thinking permeates the building. Casual attire, open work spaces, lots of coffee, food (and beer), lots of hard working people practicing their trade in a lively and enriched environment. I sensed a mutually supportive environment by how people interacted with each other. I witnessed none of the corporate ladder bickering that drains the energy in so many companies. It certainly helps that the entire workspace overlooks the Bay in Tampa with sightings of dolphins, pelicans and fish of all kind — the location is absolutely gorgeous.
Everybody there looked happy and engaged, and they actually seemed to like each other — what a novel idea! A good work environment will do that for you.
Now its our turn. What can we do to create a better work environment for our people? Time to take baby steps in the right direction. I am totally inspired.
