Want to feel old? Walk around a college campus for a few hours. There is an eclectic energy from the young men and women who walk to and from class with purpose, and from those that lounge on the multitude of benches that line the landscape. They make you feel old very quickly.
Today was surprisingly uplifting and full of promise for a new tomorrow. As I walked to my office, I was taken in by the innate energy that stems from the flurry of activity that is common to our university world. Campus life has a certain vibrancy that keeps us feeling young, yet reminds us of our age very quickly.
Today was a wonderful reminder of my many blessings, and the opportunity to practice my craft in a wonderful place, I call home. Tomorrow I am back in the classroom, doing what I do best — dishing out pain, and maximizing the potential of those that walk these hallowed halls. Time to get to work!
