Complex Problems. Simple Solutions.

Working with Judi on some branding research today, we got stuck yet again on a key measurement issue that has perplexed us for months. We have been there before, and always get stuck on the same issue every time.

The head starts hurting, the motivation level drops, and we tend to focus on other things that need to get done. It is not uncommon to put unresolved problems on the back burner.

Today we consciously decided to power through. We made a commitment to address this bottleneck head on. Here was Judi’s gentle reminder of our common mindset: A complex problem is nothing more than a series of little problems. The key is to break it down to its smallest component and solve it piece by piece.

We made huge strides today in coming up with a game plan to move forward. The problem is still unresolved, but the resolve to tackle it straight up was as much an emotional one, as an intellectual one. Amazing what you can accomplish once you set your mind to it.
Failure is not an option. We got this.
