Harvard and MIT have sued the current administration for banning international students who are taking online classes. This is cultural myopia at its worst. International students add so much to the social fabric of our country. They represent, for the most part, the global intellectual elite. They seek opportunity and come in through legal channels to fulfill their American dream.
I love the immigration model — a bunch of foreigners telling other foreigners that you can’t come in to the good old USA. Who made these guys God for a day??
America epitomizes the rich cultural melting pot that has been its hallmark. And one of it’s greatest charms. The powers that be need to do the right thing to preserve this heritage. As a young lady from the Middle East posted on LinkedIn — “this is not ok, I am not ok, we are not ok”. This is wrong at so many levels. Think about that when your head hits the pillow tonight.
