The tendency is to step over trash, as opposed to picking it up and eliminating the clutter on the center of the floor.
Unfortunately, we do the same in our personal and professional lives — we just step over the ‘baggage’ that piles up in our interpersonal relationships.
The problem is that as the baggage piles up, so does the resentment. The goal should be to address the issues head-on, and to ‘clear space’ for personal growth.
The results can be particularly rewarding. A clean floor and a crystal clear conscience. Amazing what you can learn from the garbage man!
