Normally, I associate “Giving Tuesday” with giving to the community or a charitable cause. Today I was on the receiving end of great joy and gratification — a direct benefactor of the day and its significance.
A kindergartener brought me the most cheerful pack of flower seeds. A little unsure, she asked her dad, “does Ms. Rohini still love flowers”? The seeds of hope signify that giving comes in many forms — bouquets and seeds. The fact that this young lady gave so much to me today was a precious gift that I will cherish. The blossoms will be enjoyed by all. My heart is full. Time to pay it forward. How do you plan to give this holiday season?
