Hope and Humility

mountains-and-sea

My friend Judi bought me a Lokai bracelet with two meaningful beads. One Black bead that holds mud from the Dead Sea (one of the lowest points on earth), and a White bead that holds a drop of water from Mount Everest (the highest point on earth).

The symbolism is powerful. Stay hopeful when the chips are down, and stay humble when you ride the waves of success, and celebrate life’s highest moments.

My friend Judi, taught me about hope, by example. Fighting the good fight with some personal demons. As I look back in the rearview mirror of my life, humility was never a strong suit. I learned about humility the hard way. Through deep loss – it has a strange way of creating perspective.

The key is to seek balance. We all need it to maintain equilibrium. Unfortunately, life gets in the way. And then we wonder why our stress levels are so high.
