At school, at work, and life in general, the tendency is to settle and to accept what people tell us. Intellectual curiosity and rigor does not stem from basking in your comfort zone, or from relying on conventional wisdom. Intellectual rigor originates in the tenets of digging in, thinking, questioning, and challenging the status quo.
The best companies in the world espouse this thought process. If it works for them, it certainly has the potential to work for us.
