As an educator I learn a great deal of life’s most powerful lessons, from children, every single day. The lessons learned make me a better person. They help me to reason through lives daily challenges and be a better human being.
I learn not to discriminate on the basis of the color of ones skin. The children focus on color based on what they see in nature.
I learn not to be judgemental and make assumptions about people and their lives, based on my standards.
I learn not to complicate things and focus more on simplifying my life. Running in the rain and laughing at my mistakes is okay.
I learn to be silly and goofy, and get excited about Halloween costumes and birthday cakes.
I learn how to live with joy, and never worry about what people think about me. Oh how I wish I could be a child again.
