Our little Liam, a four year old, hopped out of his car during morning arrivals, lunch box in tow. He was told that his favorite teacher, Ms. Karen, was unwell and would not be in class. On hearing that, his eyes got bigger and he started running towards the classroom at top speed. When asked why he was running, his quick yet serious response, “I have to be in charge of my class.”
Being a leader and building confidence is something we strive at the Montessori. “Yes, I can be in charge,” is a positive attitude. Teach your children, “yes I can.” Teach them to embrace a challenge. We must teach our children to do their best. After all, the world is their oyster.
