Today I read about a fall festival at Newsome High School for young children. I immediately texted my friends with young children, so that they could go and enjoy the festivities.
Time flies, our children grow up, so enjoy every minute you spend with your sweet babies. I yearn for that time when my children were small.
I was so busy focusing on my career and spending time with other people’s children as an educator, that I could have cherished those moments. I was living my life by the clock that I missed the quality time I should have spent with my babies.
It is never too late, to smell the roses, relax and enjoy the pumpkin festivals with your precious goblins. My children are now grown up, but I get to love on my Montessori babies — feeding my maternal instincts. Through them, I continue to relive those magic moments…..
“Time flies, our children grow up”, are words so true. We just don’t realize it as it is happening, and then one day “It’s a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” comes on TV, and your mind goes back for way more years than it seems possible, and we imagine our children in their PJs smelling sweet and clean, with their pumpkin shaped cookies and milk sitting in our lap, and a tear rolls down our cheek, but a wonderful fall memory remains to cherish. Yes, time flies and I yearn for those moments again too.
