Strategy and Execution: Never the Twain Shall Meet

bad-idea

The idea of providing universal health care is a noble one. The lack of executional planning is alarming. This is  the “FIRE, READY, AIM,” school of management.

There are plenty of great ideas — like flying cars, and delivery drones — that will probably never see the light of day due to the challenges of execution and implementation.

It takes more than a great idea to demonstrate brilliance. It takes resources, an effective game plan, an eye towards detail, and exceptional management.

Until the healthcare advocates get their ducks in a row, the novelty  of the idea will have to take a backseat for small business owners that are struggling for survival and scrambling for answers. There is something wrong with a system that makes it cheaper to shut down a business than to provide healthcare for its people.

This is not a greed or motivation issue — it is an economic reality.

If I had to bet my money on creating a healthcare system that works, or pigs having wings — I would wager on the pork!!
