I just finished dinner at a Lebanese restaurant in Pentagon City. The owner’s story was touching to say the least. He immigrated to the US with his wife and 5 children to make a life for his family. That story has a familiar ring to it.
I too came to the US with two suitcases and little else. The American dream is alive and well! For those who complain about the lack of opportunity in this country, I have a message to you:
Get a grip. You don’t see the opportunity available to you, because you have never seen the lack of opportunity.
This country has been built on the tenants of free enterprise. Those who feel the government owes them because of a sense of entitlement need to learn from the immigrants who work hard, rarely complain, and appreciate the lives that have been afforded to them by this great nation.
For those that complain, I have simple advice — get off your keister, and get to work.
