I am of the strong belief that only by giving do you receive more. The satisfaction and joy of being able to help somebody and give back to our community is priceless.
I am amazed how our little Montessori children broke their piggy banks to contribute to Selara Hightower, a young tween suffering from Cancer. They were so eager to drop the change from their piggy banks in the donation jar. It is important to teach our children about being kind, caring, and thoughtful. Important lesson at an early age.
It is ironic that the more money we have, the more we tend to hoard it. I learn so much from the pure hearts of my children. I must give more. Do more for others — for those less fortunate.
The holidays are upon us, let us take a moment to thank God for our innumerable blessings and pay it forward. The gifts, the decorations, the lights mean nothing until you add a sparkle to another persons life.
Let the spirit of giving begin. ‘Tis the season …..
