I had a very profound conversation with my 21 year old son about material things. He is proud to declare that he is a minimalist and does not want to own more than 40 things in his dorm room at the university. His goal is to downsize from 80 to 40 items.
His goal? Get rid of the clutter — clothes, and everyday “stuff”. The excess materialism that defines our world. Keep life simple.
I learned so much from this young man, here I am collecting so many items of clothing, and shoes. Lately, I have been trying that approach myself. It’s working well for me, and it feels good!
