“I work harder now and make less money from Uber” that was the school patrol officer. “Today is my first day driving for Uber, and I have a brand new car”, that was the air hostess — I was her fourth ride, all time. “I wish they paid me better at school”, that was the math teacher. Three separate ethnicities and three unique lives.
There is a something fundamentally wrong when these service providers have to get second jobs to make ends meet. Is this the prosperity that the politicians tout? Or is this just the reality of today’s America?
These good people represent a microcosm of people in this beautiful country. That’s the beauty of the shared economy — good people share their unique stories, and all of them work hard to make a better life for themselves.
