The chasm between the haves and the have nots has been around for centuries. The gap between the rich and the poor becomes more flagrant in these difficult times. The poor hurt for food and fight for survival. And the affluent complain with full tummies about being cooped up in their homes.
I was impressed by Worlds Central Kitchen, featured on 60 Minutes, that has already served over two million meals to the elderly, the destitute and first responders. No politics. No jockeying for position. No search for glory. Just a calling to do God’s work.
We must give of our selves and practice random acts of kindness towards those in difficult times. And applaud those that have opened their wallets and their hearts to the less fortunate.
