As I spent time on the Yoga mat this morning with my teacher, LaMor Silas, she stressed the importance of focusing on gratitude. She spoke in quiet tones about finding contentment with a beautiful, blissful heart, and to zero in on all that I should be grateful for – health, family, career, love, friendship. She guided me to carry this intention into the day, and keep these thoughts front and center.
How easily we forget to focus on what we are blessed with, and choose to focus on what others have, or on what more we want. Gratitude is a state of mind, and creates within one’s self a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. The beauty of Yoga is that it allows you to be aware of this sense of gratitude on a continuous basis. Note to self – I must spend more time on the Yoga mat, and seek bliss in all that I do……..
