My dear friend Judi is on the verge of her final surgery as the last step on her arduous journey of healing from cancer. By the time this posts, she will be recovering nicely, and cancer free. Her journey, defined by her strength and mental fortitude, has been ongoing for almost a year.
I admire her for her courage, her positive spirit and her infectious smile as she fought for survival. I admire her ability to take ownership of her condition and just fight the good fight.
For those of us who complain because things don’t fit neatly into our preconceived notions, I have news — get over yourself and count your blessings. I learned a lot from Judi over this past year. I am blessed that she is one my closest friends. I just can’t wait to get the party started.
