A Labor of Love

labor-of-love

I can’t believe that I have been writing my blog for exactly three years! I began writing in a world of silence at a Trappist Monastery surrounded by signs which screamed “silence is spoken here”.  I did not speak a word for three days. I let my pen do the talking.

I am certain there are those in my inner circle who are more surprised than I am, that I stuck with it.  I have been through the smorgasbord of emotions during this endeavor — Is it worth it? Is it any good? Does anyone really care? I have had my moments of self doubt, writers block, inspiration, tears and sheer joy. My wife, Rohini, remains my greatest champion.

I write from my heart with the intent that I can touch a chord with my readers. Reflection is now a way of life. I have deviated a tad as the interviews I promised, were few and far between. I plan to go back to those this year. I can see Judi waving her finger at me, pushing me to do more of those.

As a result of this labor of love, I am a better businessman, a better teacher, and certainly a better person. As an educator, my job is to make people think and look at the world differently. I hope my words have done that for you. Thank you!
