There is calmness that stems for meditation, and the gift of quiet reflection lasts long after the session is over. There is no one right way to meditate. No particular music, no specific location, no divine catalyst that makes one meditation journey better than another. No technique, no training that makes one persons experience superior to that of a trained yogi. My goal is to quiet my mind, clear my head, and focus on my breath. And then the calmness takes over.
In our fast paced world of a million priorities, and the urgency of our lives, we owe it to ourselves to stop and smell the roses. To breathe; to find solitude in our inner being, and to slow the pace of our lives just a tad. Maybe we will be happier, more tolerant, and certainly more accepting of what comes our way.
