My fat Basset Hound, Bella, is terrified of Dr. Anthony, her vet. She snarls with an “If you touch me, I am going to eat you” mentality. He cradles her in a way that she can’t bite him and carries her into his ‘clinic on wheels’ to trim her nails and give her an annual check up — no mean task given that she weighs almost 60 pounds and is all teeth when it comes to him.
Dr. Anthony is an amazing vet, a real gentlemen, and a thorough professional. His passion for his work is visible in his love for animals and for taking care of their health without padding his pockets. We all know how expensive vets are in this country — lots of tests, lots of meds, lots of evaluations, lots of money. And YES, they are all essential.
Dr. Anthony is kind and compassionate, and creates real value for me. He has never over-billed me a single penny for his services. My wait time is zero, my vet bill has been cut in less than half and my dogs are happy and healthy. Now I just have to train my Basset — her vet is not her supper.
Why can’t we find more professionals who do what they are supposed, and take pride in their work? Way to go Dr. Anthony. Time to train the Basset girl.
