A Sports Vacuum

I miss sports. Ice Hockey. Baseball. College basketball. Golf. All of it. I miss the winning, and the spirit of competition. I am a self proclaimed sports junky. Most mornings, I used to check the sports rundown, to decide what I would watch that night. Now I have to watch old reruns of bad TV.

Sports is a metaphor for life. The winning, the losing, the exhilaration and the agony. The joy and the heartbreak. The games that have to be put to bed, in readiness for the next game that holds a new promise.

The season will be back soon. Sports will be back. Life will be back to normal, and all will be well.
