A Time to Mourn

There is time for deep discussions on political ideology, a time for playing the blame game and a time to take sides on debating how our world got so messed up. And then, there is a time to mourn the loss of innocent lives, for no fault of theirs.

Every day citizens enjoying a glass of wine, a quiet meal, or a concert, and then mayhem and murder. My thoughts drift to little girls who won’t see there dads’ again, to moms’ unable to hug their sons and daughters and to young lives extinguished before the promise of another day.

I can’t fathom the hate that drives one to shed the blood of others at the cost of their own lives. There is no religion that preaches that. Shame on those that make this about God.

I quietly mourn those that lost their life, and hope that the divine powers provide some comfort and strength to those that must continue to live with their loss every day. Those tears may never, ever dry…….
