“I wish college had done a better job and prepared me for life”. It’s a common complaint, and it’s where we fail our students. We rarely prepare them to deal with relationships, taxes, insurance, home ownership and managing their money.
Unfortunately, life is not a series of chapters in a glossy book, with a test at the end of the week. There is no extra credit, and there are no do-overs. Life just happens, and there is no tutor to help solve life’s problems.
