The down side of technology is the ability to run business reports many different ways. One does not have to be a smart manager to make a decision with perfect information.
I know people who have the uncanny ability to bury themselves in mountains of data and generate report after report, almost as if they are scared to make a decision. Over analysis, in search of perfect information, is similar to the hamster wheel.
A lot of movement. No progress.
Smart decision makers are more intuitive, set goals first and then look for relevant information. Over analysis is very similar to conducting research to validate a decision that has already been made. It is a waste of time and money. And serves no purpose.
