Anti-Social Media

anti-social-media

The more connected we get, the less we connect at the human level.
FaceTime is a poor substitute for face to face conversations.
We post on Facebook and Tweet our thoughts, seeking approval from the multitude who ‘friend us’ or follow us. In reality, we could probably count our real friends on one hand.

The more we communicate electronically, the less we listen.
The more we interact, the less we talk.
Our phones may be smart, but they do not make us necessarily smarter as people.

For a few hours each day put away the phones, tablets, and computers.
Play with the children. Take a walk with the one you love, hold hands, whisper sweet nothings.
Talk, listen, engage at a human level. Touch lives in a meaningful way.
Make the connections that create memories.
Not the ones that are based on the whim of a network.
