Brett Hagler wrote a tribute to Kobe Bryant, after the tragic demise of Kobe and 8 other people in a horrific accident. His profound take on success was incredibly inspiring:
“We’re not on this stage just because of talent or ability,” Bryant said.
“We’re up here because of 4 a.m. We’re up here because of two-a-days or five-a-days.
We’re up here because we had a dream and let nothing stand in our way. If anything tried to bring us down, we used it to make us stronger.”
As Brett Hagler eloquently states, ”This quote is not saying everyone should get up at 4AM or do five-a-days. It’s metaphoric. The idea is that if you have a big dream, then you have to fall in love with doing things that others won’t to accomplish what others can’t.”
The million dollar question is do you have something that would motivate you to pursue a metaphoric 4:00am routine? I have mine. I hope you have yours too.
