Rohini bought 30 Barbie dolls, from a lady getting rid of her collection, for afternoon play time for the children. The little 3 and 4 year old girls were so excited about the new dolls. They grabbed the dolls from the stack and engaged in creative play.
The two dolls that were left, with no takers, were black. What are we teaching our children? That white is good and pretty? And black is to be rejected?
Really scary. And really sad.
