I reconnected with a former student, Bridget, after ages. Now a Marketing Professor in her own right, and a mom, Bridget gives credence to what we do at The University of Tampa. A gentle reminder of why I teach, and why I love my craft.
When my students are excelling professionally and raising families — mission accomplished. Sometimes the true rewards of being a teacher don’t show up in evaluations at the end of a semester. They show up years later in the form of students like Bridget, who make it all worth while.
