Broken Hearts

broken
I see hearts breaking all around me.
A colleague loses a young daughter to cancer.
Men shot to death because of their color and their race.
And brave men who are killed because they wear Blue  with honor.

Mothers cry as their sons and daughters are never coming back.
Children sob through the night as daddy won’t tuck them in bed.
Wives weep themselves to sleep as they deal with unimaginable loss.

What is wrong with our world? And with our God?
When will this suffering and pain ever end?
I bow my head in gratitude for HIS abundant blessings, and say a silent prayer for those who work to heal their broken hearts.
