I find the time I spend at construction sites exhilarating. They take me back to my childhood, where I spent many hours playing in the mud at various sites. My grandfather was a general contractor and my Dad too had a penchant for building. The construction bug runs in the family.
As we break ground on the new school, I love nothing more than wandering the site. I love spending countless hours lost in my thoughts in the midst of the din of the construction process.
Construction is like art — starting with a clean slate and building structures that stand as testaments to the people we love, and the educational causes in which we believe. Generations of children will walk these halls and transform into young men and women. What can be a more noble endeavor?
