On a rainy, dreary day in Tampa, I spent an hour this morning watching the teachers help children out of their cars at the Montessori. Lots of kisses and goodbye waves as Moms and Dads drove off to work. Bright eyed, bushy tailed children entered the school, ready to tackle the day ahead.
I stood back and took in the scenery. Lots of big smiles. Friends hugging and then walking to class hand in hand. An occasional tear. I was struck with how happy the children were to come to school. Kudos to Team Montessori for inculcating a love of learning in these precious children.
I got lots of “high fives” and hugs from the children. What a special way to start my day. Note to self — I need to do this more often.
