It’s the evening of Valentine’s Day, and the world over is celebrating love, as a special tribute to the women and girls in their lives. I saw a Dad stop by to bring presents for his daughter and grand daughters – a ritual for over 35 years.
I saw the children exchange gifts and loads of candy as a rites of passage. I saw the stores crowded with men clutching roses and chocolate, as they headed home to their special lady.
I am doing my part — wine, a single rose, a fine home cooked meal. Wait? That’s kind of our daily routine. We try to celebrate love every day.
Relationships are hard. We have our days, where I am certain she wants to “kill” me, but love means nurturing the togetherness even when the clouds are dark. How else will we ever appreciate the beauty of the glorious days that lie ahead?
We must love with total abandon and passion. Without judgement. With a single minded commitment to that special person in our lives. I was lucky to find mine. I wish you the same during this special time.
