Cerro Dragon

A two hour boat ride took us across the deep blue ocean, to Cerro Dragon, a remote island in the Galápagos Archipelago. Raw, rustic, uninhabited, except for the local species that make it their home.

Marine iguanas, giant turtles, brightly colored crabs, sea lions, and the exotic blue footed Boobies — a rare bird, except for in this part of the world. And yes, we heard the chuckles and all the jokes that go hand in glove with that name.

As we made our way across the blue ocean, I realized that my mind was devoid of thought, as I soaked in the sun and the scenery. I need to spend more time being one with nature. We all need to do that. Maybe that way we can create some balance to counteract our chaotic and hectic lives.
