The warmth and comradrie in the room was palpable. They came from far and wide to celebrate the Fifty year anniversary of the MBA program at The University of Tampa at a special Gala.
It was wonderful to connect with a large number of my students — some who I had not seen in almost twenty years. The irony is that they learn to appreciate the tough love years later. “I use your words in meetings” one of them told me with a laugh. Another, “I got a new job in Marketing and glad I hung on to your notes to present the right frameworks”.
It was heart warming to see the talent in the room, and deep satisfaction in knowing that I played a key part in their professional and personal journey. That’s the true beauty of being a teacher — seeing the success of my students, is the gift that keeps on giving, and that fills my heart with incredible joy.
