United we stand.  NOT. 
The friendly skies are really not that friendly.  Six flight delays. Our bags are heading to one city, and us to another, and we have been at the airport 7 hours.  

Rebooking was a joy.  Three agents — simultaneously — with three separate realities.  Two hours later, a reasonable accommodation. Customer service at United was, is, and will always be a cluster F, in every sense of the word. 

When nothing else makes sense with air travel, have a drink and enjoy the flight. Cheers.
