“We call it collecting No’s”, was Becka’s keen insight as we discussed a friend trying to raise money for a new venture. The notion resonated with me— how many times have we all collected no’s before someone believed in us? Failure is step one, on the road to ultimate success.
I wish I had a dollar for every time I was turned down for something that was important to me. Taking “NO” for an answer was never an option. I just never quit. How could I? Winning is as much about hanging in there when the chips are down, as it is about cashing in on the winnings.
If you are collecting “No’s”, remember that a key YES is somewhere around the corner. Don’t quit. Winning in life is more of a journey than it is a destination. Enjoy the ride.
