This past September, I took on a challenge from a loved one to stay off Facebook for thirty days. He didn’t think I had a shot at hitting that mark. Here I am more than six months later, and I never went back.
The real irony? The longer I stayed disconnected, the more connected I felt. It was a paradigm shift — I read more, and spent more time delving into the things that give me joy.
My penchant for browsing aimlessly is long gone. I like this new normal. Try it sometime. It works wonders for the soul.
