According to the non-profit, Feeding America, “Millions of children and families living in America face hunger and food insecurity every day. Due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic more than 50 million people may experience food insecurity in 2020, including 17 million children”.
Our Montessori children and their generous families are participating in a food drive for Metropolitan Ministries, a local Tampa charity. As I walk through the schools, I am overwhelmed and touched by the generosity of this Montessori tribe. There are mountains of food at every school. I am proud of our culture of giving.
No one should go hungry, and we must all do our part to help. We are certainly doing ours. Are you doing yours??
