We think nothing of splurging on lavish dinners and exotic vacations. We tip extensively in high-end restaurants where the food is average, and the service is marginal. It’s part of the status game. Part of the charade.
Yet, we tend to negotiate with, and save a buck by screwing the little guy. Those good men and women who perform essential, low cost, services that simplify our lives.
When we do that, it says a lot about our character, or lack there of. It’s easy to pick on the little guy, like a school yard bully. Just keep in mind that a higher power — the great equalizer — is watching from
above.
