Electronic Despair

About a month ago, my TV went blank. Earlier this week, my iMac bit the dust. Even before I could bid farewell to a critical piece of my electronic arsenal, my new IPhone died. Won’t power on — period. How, and when did I become so dependent on these machines? I firmly believe that bad news comes in threes — my trifecta is now complete — TV; Computer; IPhone.

I think I WILL have that extra glass of wine. I will be disconnected and out of circulation for a few days, and I hope my electronic despair will soon end. There could be a lot worse outcomes than a little solitude. The wine is excellent, and some downtime can only do me good.
