Ella Strong

I was deeply moved by a sports story of a young lady named Ella who was diagnosed with, and succumbed to a brain tumor. Ella was fifteen years old. Her brother is an offensive lineman’s for Clemson University.

An athletic, and beautiful young lady fought the good fight till the cancer came back — and she was gone nine days later. The sight of her family and her brother’s team showing a level of support before a game, was overwhelming.

Why does someone have to deal with tragedy for our true compassion to shine through? Maybe it was the passing of Judi and Alan with cancer, but this story hit home hard.

It’s strange how we connect to the stories and lives of complete strangers. I wish her family well. May they find the strength to deal with her passing.  Rest well young lady. You went way too soon.
