Envy and Jealousy

envy

We envy those that demonstrate talent, or have lives we desperately crave for ourselves.
Envy can be healthy.

Jealousy is destructive and stems from wishing harm on others — wanting to see them fail, and fall flat on their faces. I am never jealous of others — it creates too much negative energy.

I have a deep appreciation for my lot in life, and never want to ever trade places with anyone.  I may occasionally be envious of leaders who inspire others to be their best, or those who hit golf balls out of the stratosphere or those who have brilliant minds.

Envy may enable one to get better at a craft. With jealousy, everybody loses.
