Everyone Blames Everyone Else

finger-pointing

Someone busted the sewage pipe under the house under construction. Someone else poured concrete that spilled into the sewage pipes blocking the network of pipes under the house. Big trouble. Expensive mistake.

The finger pointing has started, the lawyers have come calling and its almost impossible to find the guilty party. No one will take responsibility. No one wants to be accountable.

When will we learn to celebrate our mistakes so that we can learn from them?

The finger pointing is easy, yet counter-productive. Ethics and integrity demand that we fix what we break. That’s how you build loyalty. That’s what differentiates the men from the boys.
