I see the despair in the eyes of those that seek treatment for cancer at Moffitt. I see the physical and emotional toll this nasty disease has on the afflicted. I also see the resolve to live, in these strong men and women who fight like hell.
They fight for life and for the dignity that this disease strips from its victims. They fight for those they love, and for those that love them.
I have seen the pain and suffering of the afflicted up close and personal. It’s a helpless and powerless feeling. We must all fight for those that live, and for those that lost the good fight. Let’s all fight like hell — it’s our only chance to win.
