Now that the holiday is behind us, the fireworks have gone silent, and the grills have cooled down, we must take a moment to express our gratitude to those that made sacrifices so that we could enjoy this freedom.
Don’t ever take freedom for granted. Yes, it comes at a price, but anything that is worth cherishing rarely comes easy. Freedom is not the exclusive domain of any one ethnic or religious group. We must practice tolerance, and acceptance and inclusion. Freedom is our privilege for calling this beautiful country home.
In reality, almost all of us who are blessed to call America home, came to her shores from some distant land, or are incredibly lucky that our forefathers made that trip generations ago. Let’s celebrate our freedom every day, and allow our fellow brethren to do the same.
