Football games are not won on Sunday. They are won on the practice field, in the film room and in the gym. That is the perspective from Tom Brady, and other Football greats in the series The Man in the Arena.
They pushed each other to get the “edge” over each other — more time in the gym, at practice and watching film. They worried less about the competition, and more about what they could control. That was their culture. That was their winning legacy.
Good idea to work to get an edge in business too. Push each other to get better, work harder, and grow and win together. As Dan Gable, rightfully said:
“Gold medals aren’t really made of gold. They’re made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.”
