Why is it that as institutions grow they get mired in bureaucracy and minutia?
“That’s just not possible,” is a common cry in these hallowed halls of academe. “We can’t do it this way,” is another stale statement.
Devoid of passion, and inquisitive thought — everything driven by committee approval, and a need to protect one’s turf.
A little bit like the blind leading the blind.
What ever happened to the entrepreneurial spirit? Why can’t we explore new ways of doing old things?
Breaking the mold and creative energy are key to innovative thinking, and nimble movement in today’s rapidly changing environment.
If we can’t accomplish such simple tasks in the bastions of intellectual revival, the business world and it’s future executives are in a boatload of trouble.
