Hand Prints

As educators, we leave impressions on the hearts and minds of those we teach.  Hand print artwork done 25 years ago turned out to be a trip down memory lane.

Rohini and I visited the Tampa school where she worked ions ago.  Besides the artwork, her finger print was visible in many aspects of their school.  It was a nostalgic and proud moment for both of us.

We also saw the hand print of a young girl, Caroline C. from 25 years ago, who is now a beautiful young lady. Rohini taught her as a child. More recently, Caroline was a graduate student of mine at UTAMPA and currently works for one of my former students.

Funny how life comes full circle.  We never really know when we touch people’s lives in positive ways.  As teachers, it is the gift that keeps on giving — touching young lives and seeing them blossom.
